The typical cabinet that our apartment has is a traditional design of a double door closet with one clothes rod running from one end of the wall to the other, and multiple drawers from midway the cabinet down to the floor. This may seem like ample storage to keep your clothes but believe me it tends to get too cramped and crowded.
After viewing closet storage ideas on the internet, I developed a new cabinet design of my own. The problem with having just one clothes rod is that it can only hang items that are short in length. There isn’t any space to hang a full length gown without it getting crumpled at the seams. To resolve that issue, I had the bottom drawers removed and instead had multiple shelves installed on one side of the cabinet. Instead of putting drawers, I kept the shelves open so it would be easier to see what article of clothing is placed inside. The clothes if folded neatly looks like an organized display of clothing that is truly eye-catching. I maintained a shelf at the bottom of the closet for the proper storage of shoes and bags. With this new design the closet looks wider and more structured.
